Well-established group practice in Litchfield County CT is looking to add. This group presently has 2 OBGYN providers, 1 WHNP and 1 PA. They share call with another group of 3 providers so call will be 1 day during the week and 1/7 weekends. Call is taken from home, but physician does have option to stay overnight in the hospital. Physicians average 10 deliveries per provider monthly and do 4 days weekly in the office with 1 full day off and 1 day of surgery weekly and they see a very diverse patient base. The group does a lot of office GYN including hysteroscopy, novasure, LEEP, etc. Their 2 offices are equipped with U/S and tech and updated surgical equipment. They admit to a community-based hospital which has a level IIB nursery and all services in-house including 24hr anesthesia and pediatrics. The hospital is affiliated with Hartford Hospital and teaching is a possibility. They have a 50/50 OB to GYN ratio and are looking for someone interested in being a true generalist. The providers scrub together and will mentor new hire. They are a pro-choice practice and while they don’t do TOPS in the office, they aren’t opposed to it.
