Hospital in Northen MT is seeking an OB/GYN provider to join their team. There is presently 1 OBGYN provider and several FP providers in the practice and FP does OB as well. Call would be ½ but its mostly GYN and high-risk OB as the FP covers normal deliveries, and 1 FP does c-sections. This is a real “lifestyle” job and the providers work 2-3days in the office with 1 day for surgery – call is light and taken from home. The practice does about 225 deliveries annually and is approximately 50% GYN-50% OB. However, new physician will be able to create the mix he/she desires. Physician will be able to do subspecialty cases; high risk OB, some reproductive endocrinology, some GYN oncology, and some urogynecology; with backup from subspecialists within a few hours. Hospital is very physician friendly. An added benefit is the comradery between the providers and their patients that a rural community provides. The practice has an APRN/WHNP who sees a lot of patients and does GYN procedures in the office. The OBGYN provider is interested in UroGyn and the practice has 1 or 2 neuromodulators in the state.
The position has a guaranteed salary for the first two years with subsequent generous productivity-based compensation. Production is based on 50% gross billings; providers may move to productivity-based compensation model early depending on performance. Benefits include a six-week allowance for sick/vacation paid time off; $5,000 CME annual allowance, malpractice insurance paid by the organization; health/dental insurance; life/disability insurance available and a paid relocation allowance.
The hospital has over 35 employed providers in various specialties that serve a five (5) county area. There are approximately 225 births per year at our hospital. This position offers the ability to step into an already existing high-volume practice.
The OB/GYN Physician offices are in the Family Medical Center building which is connected to hospital. All suites are LDRP and recently renovated. H1B and J1 visa candidates are welcome, and they will provide an immigration attorney to help with visa clearance. The area is very diverse, there are 2 Native American reservations nearby. This is rural America, there is a university in town, they have excellent private and public schools and Calgary and Great Falls are both about a 2hr drive. Everyone knows everyone and this is a very physician friendly town, with easy access to skiing, camping, hiking, fishing, all watersports, hunting, etc. A candidate with a love of the outdoors will fit in well here and this is a great place to raise a young family.
