New OBGYN opportunity in the central valley in Northern CA. This is a city of 85K nestled between Modesto and Merced and about 1/2hr from each city. It is located 1.5 hrs. from SF and Sacramento. There are several OBGYNs in the community and the hospital is looking to add an experienced OBGYN physician to their Hospital employed MS group. They would love a BC OBGYN with an interest in high risk OB. Physician will enjoy a strong referral base from day 1 and will share the OBGYN patients with one other OB provider and they will add as their number increase. They are adding OBGYN specialty to the group and will expect providers to see between 18-20 patients daily and anticipate them doing between 10-15 deliveries p/p monthly as the practice grows. They will be doing office (colposcopy, US, NST and IUD insertions) GYN, major surgery and the office has EMR/Athena. The hospital is a 209 bed acute care facility with about 70,000 patients in their ED last year. They are not a Trauma center but do have Open Heart, Cath Lab, Chest Pain program, Cancer Center affiliated with Stanford Medical Center and they are delivering about 3 babies every day. Total Medical Staff is about 250 with about 125 active at the hospital and they have both Adult and Pediatric Hospitalist programs that are managing about 80% of their inpatients. The hospital’s nursery level is a II with in-house anesthesia and pediatric services and a close relationship with their sister hospital which has a level III nursery. They are looking for self-starters with ties to the area (ideally) and who are comfortable working in a fast paced setting and servicing a higher Medicaid patient base. Starting salary is the 50-75 percentile MGMA based on the physician’s yrs. of experience. They offer SOB, relocation, loan repayment, residency stipend and full benefits.
