Well-established and well-respected private OB/GYN group is looking to add additional physicians due to impending retirements. The group has 13 OBGYN physicians, 5 CNMs and 3 WHNPs. and is hoping to add an additional new generalist physician and an OBGYN Laborist. This group is located in an affluent suburb of Atlanta with excellent public and private schools, recreational and cultural activities, fine dining, shopping and easy access to Atlanta. They have been serving the community for over 30 years and they are committed to providing quality patient care. They have 3 beautiful office locations that feature state of the art equipment and EMR practice management systems to allow the physicians to concentrate on patient care and satisfaction.
They are also looking for an OBGYN Laborist to work with 1 other and cover the groups patients. This position involves 2 24hr shifts weekly (and they would be covering 1 of the 2 hospitals) They may be open to 12hr shifts depending but would need to coordinate with the other Hospitalist in the group. It would be 47 weeks annually and they offer competitive salary, health, dental, life and disability, CME, Malpractice coverage, relocation, retirement, dues/subscription/cellphone coverage, 4 weeks PTO and 1-week CME with stipend.
Responsibilities include:
- Evaluation of all of the Corporation’s patients who present at Piedmont Newnan
Hospital or Piedmont Fayette Hospital - Management of patients in labor and related labor support
- Postpartum rounds
- Hospital consults on OB and GYN patients
- Vaginal deliveries, VBAC deliveries and C-section deliveries
- Limited clinics at the Corporation’s offices to see antepartum and postpartum
patients - Participation in obstetrical quality initiatives
- Family support for patients in labor
- Postpartum sterilizations, IUDs, circumcisions, etc.
- Medical record documentation and related administrative and billing documentation
This pro-life practice offers a full range of obstetrical and gynecological services, including birth control, minimally invasive surgeries and in-office procedures like Robotics, Colposcopy, HTA, Pelvic Floor Therapy, Mona Lisa Touch and Uro-dynamics. The physicians cover call at 2 large community-based hospitals separately, both equipped with NICU and Da Vinci Robot and the CNMs take call at 1 of the 2 hospitals. The group also employs Hospitalist physicians who helps with the call and they are looking for one more to do 8 24 shifts monthly. Physician will cover both hospitals but only 1 while on call and manage deliveries for the group only. They average 150-160 deliveries a month between both hospitals and share call of 1:7.
