Well established Perinatal Diagnostic Center in Northern Ca’s Central Valley is looking to add 2 MFM physicians as soon as possible. The physician who is there now is scheduled to slow down and to eventually retire and the Hospital is looking to recruit 2 patient-centric Boarded Perinatologists. The practice currently averages 25 patients daily and over 30 OBGYN physicians in the community refer exclusively to this physician, providing a captive referral base for the incoming MFM providers. This outpatient position is mainly consult, and once both providers are on-boarded, they will share a very light 1:2 call which will be during the day only when the OBGYN physicians are rounding. The hospital averages between 350-400 deliveries monthly and there are another 400 monthly from surrounding hospitals, with high acuity patients transferred out. The hospital is also starting its own OBGYN residency program which is slated to begin Summer 2019 so MFMs will also be on faculty and can be involved in teaching and training of residents. The office, with its 2 locations, provides a low-stress environment and office hrs. are 8-4 or 9-5 depending, with ultrasounds starting at 8 am. There is a Genetic Specialist who visits weekly and Ultrasonographers on staff as well. With a large draw area and a captive referral base, there is enough volume to support the two incoming Perinatologist to stay busy and grow the practice.
